World Kidney Day is celebrated worldwide on 11th March 2010 for which Shire and Roche are two of the official sponsors of the global awareness campaign. As representative of Shire and Roche Diagnostics in Malta Vivian Corporation wish to create awareness locally.
World Kidney Day (WKD) is a global health awareness campaign focusing on the importance of our kidneys and reducing the frequency and impact of kidney disease and its associated health problems worldwide. WKD 2010 (www.worldkidneyday.org) is focusing on diabetes, the leading cause of Chronic Kidney Disease (CKD).
Vivian Corporation has teamed up with St James Hospital to organise a public lecture, Protect Your Kidneys, Control Diabetes, on Saturday 13th March at the Victoria Hotel Sliema, William Shakespeare Suite for the general public with particular interest in diabetes and CKD; patients, families and carers as well as health professionals are invited to call 21316050 to register or send an email to info@viviancorp.com . Time: 08.30 - 12.00 The aim of this seminar is that the audience comes to meet the experts and discuss matters associated with diabetes and kidney disease.
